News 26/05/2025

Time is moving quickly once again. This past few months I have been settling into a new role at the London Museum, working with some amazing collections of objects and getting inspiration along the way. I am still working out how to use my time outside of it for art and slowly but surely I’ve managed to break through a big hurdle I have been facing with Visions of the Phantomfield Book 2. This issue has been bugging me for a while, but I’m hoping it will result in a much better comic that will be enjoyable to read.

I do however have some news regarding events. While I won’t be attending Hyper Japan this summer, I will be going to a new convention in London called Doujin Con (see details below). I’m really excited to be having a table there, along with many of my friends from the Manga Meetup groups and even some Japanese doujinshi artists. Looks like I’ll need to save my money for that too xD;;

I also appear to be in this years Thought Bubble festival, coming up this November. This is one of the biggest in the UK, and certainly an important one for graphic novels. It feels nice after years of applying to finally get in. At this present time, I’m aiming to get my second Shabbit book done by then, provided nothing gets in the way. I feel bad I won’t have it ready for Doujin Con, but there may be something else I’ll have ready by then instead.

Upcoming events (confirmed)

Doujin Con London 3rd – 4th August 2025 – More details will be announced in time

Thought Bubble Festival Harrogate 15th- 16th November 2025– More details will be announced in time
